Studio 02 · Write

The page, but it knows your book.

A focused chapter editor with autosave, scene breaks, inline images, and an AI assistant that has read your outline, your characters, your world, and your research. When the time comes to revise, three different editors take three different passes, line, copy, developmental, without ever stepping on your voice.

Chapter 01·Drafting

A clean canvas, with one quiet voice in your ear.

Focused chapter editor

Rich text with bold, italic, headings, lists, alignment, blockquotes. Scene-break inserter pulls the ornament you set in Design. Inline images via picker, upload, or AI generation.

Autosave, always

1.2-second debounce, force-save with Cmd/Ctrl-S. Visible save status pill, never wonder again. Switch chapters and the current one saves first.

AI assistant, context-aware

Rewrite, line-edit, brainstorm, or ask context questions about the chapter at your cursor. The assistant has read your full plan, characters, beats, research.

Plan reference rail

A thin strip on the right opens to a studio summarizing every Plan artifact, no tab switching to look up a character's middle name.

Find & replace, with pattern matching

Cmd-F for find, Cmd-Shift-F for replace. Scope to chapter or whole manuscript. Pattern-matching (also called regex, a way of searching by pattern rather than fixed string) supported.

NSFW mode (Loom and Tapestry)

Toggle in Preferences to route AI calls through a more permissive vendor when writing explicit content. Marketing tools work the same either way. Available on Loom and Tapestry.

Chapter 02·Revising

Three editors. Three different jobs.

The Edit studio splits revision into the three tasks experienced novelists already keep separate. Each editor runs per-chapter with click-to-jump issue cards: click an issue and the editor scrolls to the exact sentence and highlights it.

Line editor

Sentence-level prose: rhythm, pacing, voice consistency, weak phrasing, awkward construction. Doesn't catch typos; doesn't restructure your story.

Copy editor

Spelling, punctuation, grammar, capitalization, hyphenation, internal consistency. Doesn't critique style.

Developmental editor

Chapter-level structure: pacing, character work, stakes, theme, how this chapter relates to the manuscript as a whole. Fed by your chapter summaries.
