Roadmap

What we're building next.

WriteLoom ships in small, regular increments. Here is what is in active development, what is on the plan for later this year, and what we are still exploring. Nothing on this page is a hard release-date promise; everything is a public commitment to the direction.

Chapter I·Shipping next

In active development. We expect each of these to land in the next release cycle.

Translation across languages

Draft in one language, render finished export PDFs and EPUBs in another. Initial pairs: English ↔ Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese. The line editor reads voice in the source language and preserves it in the target; the copy editor knows the target language's mechanics. Useful for writers in multilingual markets, indie publishers planning translations, and the increasing number of writers who draft in one language and publish in several.

Cover designer v2

A faster brief flow, a wider style library, and a finishing pass that applies print-ready trim, bleed, and spine width to the chosen concept.

Chapter II·Coming later

Confirmed and on the plan, but further out. We will talk about timelines closer to ship.

Mobile app (iOS and Android)

A native mobile companion for capturing scene ideas, drafting on the go, re-reading what you wrote yesterday, and handling pitch / launch tasks from your phone. The desktop app stays the home for the heavy work, but the mobile app means a writer is never far from their book.

Co-author workflows

Real-time and async collaboration on the same manuscript: turn-based handoffs, comment threads, suggested-edits, role-based permissions, and a clean version history so two writers can split a draft without stepping on each other.

Audiobook v2

Multi-voice cast support, per-character voice pinning, SFX cues between scenes, and an export pipeline that produces an Audible-ready ACX-compliant file.

Chapter III·Exploring

Ideas we like. No commitment yet; we are testing the demand and the design before we promise a ship date.

Print-on-demand integration

Direct push from the Design studio to Kindle Direct Publishing, IngramSpark, Lulu, and Draft2Digital. Skip the file-prep gauntlet entirely.

Writer-to-writer marketplace for editors and cover designers

A curated network of human editors, cover designers, and proofreaders who already understand WriteLoom's project format. Hire directly from inside the Sell studio.

Audio-first dictation mode

Talk-to-text drafting with a side-by-side scene structure helper. For writers who think out loud or who can't always be at a keyboard.

Public author pages

A simple, hostable author page at /author/{your-handle} that pulls from the bio, cover, and one-pager you already built. For when you need a link to send a journalist.

Want something moved up the list?

The fastest way to push a feature forward is to tell us you want it. Every Friday we triage the roadmap based on what writers asked for that week.
